Our Segmental Block Wall Installation Process
Segmental systems look simple once they're up, and that's exactly the point — the engineering sits in the base, the backfill and the reinforcement layers. Here's how we put one together.
Height and soil assessment — we work out your retained height and check whether the site needs geogrid reinforcement behind the blocks.
System selection — we match a block system to your wall height, the look you want, and the budget you are working to.
Base excavation and levelling pad — we dig out and compact a levelling pad, because every course above it copies whatever the first course does.
First course setting — the bottom row goes down dead level and dead straight, checked block by block.
Stacking and geogrid — courses stack with the built-in setback, and reinforcement layers go in at the depths the design calls for.
Drainage aggregate and capping — drainage metal fills the void behind the blocks, then capping units finish the top off cleanly.
