We start by telling you whether it is worth repairing at all. Plenty of the driveways we look at are past saving, and we would rather say so than take your money for a patch that cracks again by next winter. Just as often, a driveway looks far worse than it is and can be sorted for a fraction of a replacement quote.

We fix the cause. Most Auckland driveway damage comes from what is happening under the slab — clay moving with the seasons, a base that was never compacted properly, or water getting somewhere it should not. Filling the crack without dealing with that is a temporary result at best.

Because we pour new driveways as well, we have no reason to push you toward one. We do both jobs, so the recommendation you get is about your driveway rather than about which service we happen to be selling.

We match the repair product to the crack. A hairline shrinkage crack, a structural crack that is still moving, and a failed joint all need different treatment, and using one flexible filler for everything is exactly why so many repairs reopen within a season.

We care how it looks afterward. A repair that is structurally sound but obviously a patch is not much of a win on something you park on every day, so we match finish and texture as closely as the existing slab allows and cut joints so the repair reads as part of the driveway.

We check the drainage while we are there. If water is pooling on the slab or running underneath it, any repair is on a clock — and it is usually a small fix at the same time rather than a separate job six months later.
