Our Land Drainage Installation Process
Fixing drainage properly means understanding where the water is coming from first. Guessing and digging a trench in the wet spot usually just moves the puddle. Here's how we approach it.
Site assessment — we look at your levels, soil, and the low points where water collects, ideally after a decent downpour.
Source tracing — we work out whether the water is surface runoff, roof and paving discharge, or groundwater coming up from below.
System design — we lay out a drainage plan with the right mix of surface channels, subsoil lines and collection points for your site.
Trenching — trenches are dug to a consistent fall so water keeps moving instead of pooling in a low spot mid-run.
Pipe, aggregate and fabric — perforated pipe is bedded in drainage metal and wrapped in filter fabric to keep silt out.
Discharge and reinstatement — we connect to a legal discharge point, then backfill, level and reinstate the surface.
