Our Concrete Path and Paving Installation Process
Paths get walked on every day and noticed the moment they go wrong. Here's the process we follow to make sure yours stays flat, level and safe.
Layout and levels — we set out the route and the falls so water runs off the surface rather than sitting in dips.
Excavation — we dig out topsoil and soft material to the depth the base and slab need for the traffic they will carry.
Base and compaction — hardfill goes in and is compacted in layers, which is what keeps a path from sinking unevenly later.
Edging and formwork — forms are set to the finished lines and levels, including any curves or shaped edges you want.
Pour and finish — concrete is placed and finished in your chosen texture, with slip resistance in mind on sloped or shaded runs.
Joints, curing and cleanup — joints are cut, the surface is cured properly, and we clean up and reinstate the surrounding ground.
