Auckland Poured Concrete Retaining Walls

Poured concrete is unforgiving. Get the formwork bracing wrong and a wall blows out mid-pour; get the steel placement wrong and the wall is weaker than the drawings say. Our crew has poured enough retaining walls across Auckland to know where the pressure points are and how to brace for them.

We coordinate the whole job ourselves, including the concrete delivery. That means the trucks turn up when the forms are genuinely ready, the pour runs continuously without cold joints, and you're not paying standing time while someone waits for a subcontractor.

We also plan around access before we quote. Plenty of Auckland sections are tight, steep or hard to reach with a truck, and we'd rather work out whether we need a pump, a line or a different approach at the quoting stage than discover it on pour day.

We don't rush the cure. Concrete gains most of its strength in the days after the pour, and stripping forms too early or leaving a wall exposed in the wrong weather costs you strength you paid for. We manage curing properly, even when it means the job takes an extra couple of days.

Drainage goes in as part of the wall, not after it. A poured wall is completely impermeable, which means every drop of water that reaches the back of it has to go somewhere. We install drainage metal, a base pipe and outlets so that water leaves the site instead of loading up your wall.

You also get a finish you actually chose. Board-formed texture, a smooth off-form face, or a plastered and painted surface all look very different once the wall is up, so we talk through the options with you before the forms go together.
